About me

Who are you?

The short version: PR guy, politico, history buff, Torontonian and Calgary Flames fan. Addicted to flip-flops & not a morning person. I like caffeine, good grammar and my bed.

Director's Cut:

Blogger, reader, wannabe musician and TV nut. That sums up my life personal life pretty well.

In my professional life, I'm a PR consultant with a Toronto-based agency. We may be small, but we're certainly mighty. I get to work in all kinds of exciting industries: renewable energy, agri-food, restaurants, not-for-profit, telecommunications and government, just to name a few.

Before graduating from the Durham College PR program,  I worked in the constituency office of a Conservative Member of Parliament and Cabinet Minister. I would now describe my political views as a hybrid of NDP-Liberal-Conservative policies. Fiscally, I'm a Conservative and socially I'm very left-wing (which, I know, makes no sense). Since moving to Toronto, my political views have changed dramatically, as I would have used to describe myself as a rabid Conservative supporter (which is reflected in some of the earlier posts on the blog, left up for full transparency).

I'm pretty low-key: I love spending time with my friends and family and would rather curl up with a good book than hit up a wild club.
